Data protection

To provide you with safe and effective care, the Practice holds personal and medical information about you in both electronic and paper records. This information is used only for purposes directly related to your healthcare, the management of the Practice, and our legal obligations.

All staff working in the Practice are bound by strict confidentiality rules and have access only to the information they need to carry out their duties. Information may be shared with other NHS services and healthcare professionals involved in your care where this is necessary and lawful.

Your information is held securely and appropriate technical and organisational measures are in place to protect it from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.

There are limited circumstances where we may be legally required to share information, for example for public health purposes or where required by law. For non-NHS purposes (such as insurance or solicitor reports), your explicit consent will normally be required.

We will not disclose information to family members, friends, or others without your consent unless there is a legal or safeguarding requirement to do so.

You have rights under UK data protection law, including the right to access your medical records. Further information about how we use your data and your rights can be found in our Privacy Notice, available on this website or from reception.
