You can be assured that anything you discuss with any member of the surgery staff, whether a doctor, nurse, pharmacist, or receptionist, will be treated in confidence.
We respect the confidentiality of children and young people, including those under the age of 16. Information will not normally be shared with parents, carers, teachers, or others without your permission, provided you are able to understand the decisions being made.
The only time we may need to share confidential information without consent is where there is a serious risk of harm to you or to someone else. Wherever possible, we would always aim to discuss this with you first.
If you have any worries or questions about confidentiality, please ask a member of staff.
If you would like to discuss matters of a confidential nature with our reception team or a member of the dispensary team, a private room is available at reception for this purpose.
