We respect your privacy, dignity, and your religious and cultural beliefs at all times. Where an intimate examination is advised, this will only be carried out with your informed consent.
You will be offered a trained chaperone to attend the examination if you wish. The chaperone will usually be a member of the Practice clinical team.
You may request a chaperone:
When booking your appointment
On arrival at the surgery (please inform the receptionist)
At any point during the consultation
If a chaperone is requested but is not immediately available, we may need to delay or rearrange the examination to ensure your comfort and safety.
